Situated between the beautiful Illawarra Escarpment and is bordered by the Macquarie Rivulet and Marshall Mount Creek. Positioned West between Wollongong and Shellharbour, and only a short 96 kilometre journey to Sydney. You are spoilt for choice when it comes to selecting a great place for childcare, primary and secondary schools from Yallah. There are two public High Schools located North (Dapto High School) and South (Albion Park High School) of Yallah and multiple Primary schools located conveniently in the outer suburbs of Yallah, these include; Mount Brown Primary, Lakelands Public School and Dapto Primary School. You may also head south to drop the kids at school at; Calderwood Christian School, Albion Park Public School or St Pauls Catholic Primary
Local childcare facilities include; Kidsworld Childcare Centre, Little Peoples Dapto, Goodstart Early Learning Centre, Big Fat Smile, Grandma Rosie’s and Dapto Cuddles Child Care, with many family day cares there is no lack of childcare facilities available for working family’s needs. Yallah is also home to the Yallah TAFE which covers studies such as Agriculture, orticulture and Animal Husbandry subjects. 


With Dapto Mall, it is home to a large selection of speciality stores, Big W, Woolworths and Coles, it provides plenty of undercover parking to enjoy a pleasant shopping experience in all kind of weather. Along the Princes highway resides Aldi, great Cafe’s, bars and restaurants to suit local residents who enjoy eating out or a night of take away convenience.
There is convenience store located for all your quick pantry and fringe stocking needs at the bottom of Mount Brown Road, otherwise within a few minutes’ drive, otherwise you may head south into Albion Park with Bakers Delight, a newsagency, Bakery, a Pizza and Chinese restaurants, a BWS, Post office and a chemist for any late night cravings or medical needs.


Enjoy a spot of dancing, dining and good laughs at Dapto Leagues which regularly hosts many local, national and international talent on a regular basis, a spot of bowls of Dapto bowling club and Dapto Citizens Club, or a night out at the Dapto Old pub or Dandaloo Hotel, which all cater for functions and sporting events. On a Thursday night, Dapto showground is the place to be for the famous “Dapto Dogs” and is also the location for events such as the annual monster trucks tour, Dapto Agricultural show and many more yearly calendar events. The freshly refurbished Yallah Woolshed is a popular haunt for conferences, local events and historical venue to sit and enjoy a great feed.
If you are a bit of a thrill seeker, you can opt for a scenic flight, jump on a plane and then jump out of a plane with Sky Dive the Beach Wollongong, take a joy flight with Touchdown Helicopters or take a spin around the indoor go karting track at C1 Racing. For something more sedate and relaxing, there is plenty of areas to explore around Yallah if you prefer recreational activities, visit the Museum of Flight at Albion Park Airport, the indoor
putt putt and indoor driving range, or get a bit competitive at AMF Bowling in Albion Park Rail.


Bus routes are accessible from the Princes Highway outside Harrigan Ford, another located at Mount Brown Public School and two stops along Huntley Road. Whether the commute is North, East or South, Freeway access is an easy few minutes’ drive wherever you may location within the suburb of Yallah, making it an easy commute to work.
If you choose to leave the car at home and take the train to your destination, Dapto and Albion Park Train Station are located within equal distance, both have extra parking to leave your car parked to jump on the train whether your heading North or South for a day out or for a lazy commute to work.
For students who study at the local TAFE or renown Wollongong University, it is a quick 15 trip up the M1 freeway from Yallah.
